Welcome! I am Christian, a PhD student at IDS at RWTH Aachen University.
I received my B.Sc. in electrical engineering from RWTH Aachen University, Germany, in 2016 and my M.Sc. in 2019. My focus was on micro-and nano-electronics. During this time, I was working for and being supervised at ICE at RWTH Aachen University. As part of a double degree program, I simultaneously received an additional M.Sc. from Keio University, Japan. At Keio University, I was part of AOKI medialab and my focus was on deep-learning for image-recognition.
I am graduating in Q4 2025 and am looking forward to new experiences and challenges. If you are looking for a driven digital design engineer with experience in RTL modeling, synthesis and backend flows (including regular placement and routing) please reach out to me!
My research interests focus on low power digital design with a focus on digital Compute-in-Memory. It ranges from efficient implementations for memory-bound problems such as MAC for neural networks or sorting to the EDA side of it on how such designs can be efficiently described, implemented and optimized.
