Welcome! I am Christian.
I received my B.Sc. in electrical engineering from RWTH Aachen University, Germany, in 2016 and my M.Sc. in 2019. My focus was on micro-and nano-electronics. During this time, I was working for and being supervised at ICE at RWTH Aachen University. As part of a double degree program, I simultaneously received an additional M.Sc. from Keio University, Japan. At Keio University, I was part of AOKI medialab and my focus was on deep-learning for image-recognition. I received my PhD (Dr.-Ing.) in electrical engineering from RWTH Aachen University in 2026, working at IDS at RWTH Aachen University, doing research on digital compute-in-memory.
My research interests focus on low power digital design with a focus on digital Compute-in-Memory. It ranges from efficient implementations for memory-bound problems such as MAC for neural networks or sorting to the EDA side of it on how such designs can be efficiently described, implemented and optimized.
